These Terms of Service govern your use of our Platform. Please read them carefully. By using any part of the Platform you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

In these Terms of Service, the following definitions apply:

2. Acceptance and Binding Effect

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Church.

These Terms apply to all Users regardless of jurisdiction, role, or method of access. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a minor in your care, your acceptance binds both you and that minor.

If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

3. The Platform and Its Services

The Platform currently comprises:

The Church reserves the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered Members of material changes to services they actively use. The Church shall not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of services.

4. Account Registration and Security

Access to the Church Hub, the Youth Section, and certain Platform features requires the creation of a church account. By registering, you represent and warrant that:

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you, until you notify us of a compromise or request account closure. The Church is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these obligations.

You may not register an account using another person's identity, create accounts for others without their express knowledge, or operate multiple accounts for purposes of circumventing restrictions or misrepresenting your identity.

5. Acceptable Use and Community Standards

The Platform — and particularly the Church Hub, Youth Section, and all community spaces — is a ministry environment grounded in Christian values. All Users are expected to engage with honesty, respect, and care for others.

When participating in study rooms, small groups, prayer walls, announcements, or any other interactive feature, you agree to:

Pastoral staff and group leaders have authority to moderate community spaces. Their decisions regarding content removal, role changes, and access restrictions shall be final within the context of the Church community.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

Violations of this section may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, and may be referred to appropriate authorities where the conduct constitutes a criminal offence.

7. Content and Intellectual Property

Church Content: All sermons, teaching series, curricula, devotionals, Sacred Pages original content, Worship Studio materials, articles, images, and other Content produced by or for Holy Nation Prophetic Church is the exclusive intellectual property of the Church. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use such Content for personal, non-commercial, and spiritual purposes only. Reproduction, redistribution, adaptation, or commercial use of Church Content requires prior written authorisation from the Church.

Bible Translations: Scripture text used within Sacred Pages is sourced under licence from third-party rights holders. These include the Contemporary English Version (CEV) licensed by the American Bible Society, Luganda and Runyankore-Rukiga translations licensed by their respective Bible Society partners, and other versions as disclosed within the application. Users may not reproduce these translations in quantities exceeding personal use without obtaining the applicable licences from the relevant rights holders.

Third-Party Content: The Platform may reference or link to content owned by third parties. The Church makes no representations regarding such content and accepts no responsibility for it. Such content remains subject to the intellectual property rights of its respective owners.

User Content: You retain ownership of any User Content you submit. By submitting User Content, you grant the Church a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content to the extent necessary to provide the services (for example, to display your message in a study room, process a prayer request, or make an announcement visible to a group). This licence terminates when you delete your content or close your account, except where retention is required by our data retention obligations or by applicable law.

You represent and warrant that User Content you submit does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.

8. The Church Hub and Role-Based Access

The Church Hub is a private ministry intranet accessible only to registered Members. Access to specific modules and features within the Church Hub is governed by a role-based permission system. Current roles are:

Role assignments are made at the sole and absolute discretion of church leadership and may be modified or withdrawn at any time. The Church is under no obligation to assign any particular role to any User, and no right to a specific role is created by these Terms or by prior assignment. If you believe a role has been incorrectly modified, you may raise this with the church office, whose decision shall be final.

You must not share, transfer, or attempt to circumvent role-based access restrictions. Accessing features or data beyond the permissions of your assigned role, by any means, constitutes a material breach of these Terms.

9. Tithes, Offerings, and Financial Records

The Church Hub provides Members with a record of tithes and offerings made through the Platform. These records are provided for reference and receipt purposes and do not constitute audited financial statements.

All giving to Holy Nation Prophetic Church is voluntary. No person is under any obligation — legal or spiritual — to give through the Platform, and refusal to give does not affect any person's standing as a member of the church community.

The Church does not store payment card numbers, mobile money PINs, or other payment credentials. Where online giving is processed through a payment partner, that partner's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction. The Church receives only confirmation of payment and the amount.

Giving records are maintained in accordance with applicable financial record-keeping requirements. If you believe your giving record contains an error, contact us immediately at info@holynationprophetic.church. We will investigate and respond within 14 days.

Fund targets and giving campaigns displayed on the Platform represent good-faith projections. The Church makes no representation as to the use of surplus funds in any completed campaign beyond general ministerial purposes unless otherwise expressly stated.

10. Youth and Kids Sections

Youth Section: The Youth Section is a protected digital ministry space for persons aged 13 to 25. Access requires account registration and explicit approval by the church's youth leadership team. All Users of the Youth Section are bound by the community standards in section 5 and the prohibited conduct provisions in section 6. Youth leadership reserves the right to remove, restrict, or modify any User's access to the Youth Section at any time and without prior notice where conduct is deemed harmful to the community.

Parents and guardians of Users under the age of 18 who participate in the Youth Section are encouraged to remain informed of their child's activity and to contact us with any concerns. The Church exercises reasonable pastoral oversight of the Youth Section but cannot guarantee supervision of all interactions.

Kids Section: The Kids Section is publicly accessible and requires no account or registration. No personal data is collected from any person using the Kids Section. All content is curated for age-appropriateness by the children's ministry team. Parents are encouraged to engage with Kids Section content alongside their children.

11. Suspension and Termination

The Church may, at its absolute discretion and without prior notice, suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your access to all or any part of the Platform where:

Where circumstances permit, we will attempt to notify you of a suspension and the reason for it. You may request a review by contacting the church office. The Church's decision on any such review is final within the context of the church community and does not affect your rights before any applicable judicial or regulatory authority.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@holynationprophetic.church. Account closure does not retroactively remove giving records that we are legally required to retain.

Upon termination or account closure, your licence to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature survive termination — including sections on intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — continue in full force and effect.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Church disclaims all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, and non-infringement.

The Church does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Temporary unavailability, data errors, or inaccuracies in Content do not constitute a breach of these Terms.

Spiritual and pastoral Content on the Platform — including sermons, devotionals, study materials, and AI-generated Bible study responses — is provided for spiritual guidance and edification only. It does not constitute and should not be relied upon as professional legal, medical, financial, psychological, or counselling advice. For matters requiring professional expertise, please seek qualified independent advice.

Links to external websites are provided for convenience. The Church exercises no control over external sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, accuracy, legality, or privacy practices.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Church, its pastoral leadership, employees, volunteers, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or any other intangible loss.

Where applicable law does not permit the complete exclusion or limitation of liability, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid by you to the Church in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty thousand Uganda Shillings (UGX 50,000).

This limitation applies regardless of the form of action — whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise — and even if the Church has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Holy Nation Prophetic Church and its pastoral leadership, administrators, volunteers, and service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

15. Changes to These Terms

The Church may revise these Terms of Service at any time. The effective date shown at the top of this page indicates when the current version took effect. For material changes, we will provide notice to registered Members by email and by in-Hub announcement at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any revision constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept a material change, you must discontinue use of the Platform and may request account closure by contacting us.

16. General Provisions

Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda. You and the Church irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda to settle any such dispute.

Dispute Resolution: Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by negotiation. Either party may initiate this process by giving written notice to the other describing the dispute. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of such notice, either party may proceed to formal proceedings before the competent courts.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Church with respect to the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.

No Waiver: Failure by the Church to enforce any provision of these Terms on any occasion does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer any right or obligation under these Terms without the prior written consent of the Church. The Church may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganisation, or transfer of ministry operations, with notice to registered Members.
