Joy
Joy is different from happiness. Happiness depends on what's happening around you, but joy comes from knowing God loves you no matter what! You can have joy even on hard days.
"The joy of the Lord is your strength."
— Nehemiah 8:10
Bible Story: Paul and Silas Sing in Prison
Acts 16:16-34
Paul and Silas were thrown in prison for teaching about Jesus. Their feet were locked in chains, and they were in a dark, uncomfortable cell. But instead of being sad, they sang songs and praised God! Their joy was so powerful that God sent an earthquake to free them. The jailer and his whole family believed in Jesus because of their joyful faith.
How to Practice Joy
- Sing praise songs when you're feeling down
- Thank God for His love even on bad days
- Share your joy with others through smiles and kindness
- Remember God's promises when you're worried
