Peace

God can give us calm inside—even when things are busy or scary. That's His peace!

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."

— John 14:27

📖 For Ages 4–6

Sometimes our hearts feel wiggly or worried. Jesus said He gives us peace—a calm, safe feeling inside. We can ask Him for peace when we're scared or when we can't sleep.

Talk about it:

  • When do you feel calm and happy? (bedtime story, hug, etc.)
  • When we feel worried, we can say "Jesus, give me peace." Want to try it together?

📖 For Ages 7–9

Jesus' peace is different from "everything going right." It's a calm inside us even when things are hard. We get it by trusting Him and talking to Him. We can ask for peace when we're nervous about a test, a game, or a friendship.

Talk about it:

  • What makes you feel not peaceful—worried or upset?
  • What can we do when we need peace? (pray, take a breath, remember a verse)

📖 For Ages 10–12

God's peace doesn't mean life is easy. It means we can have a steady heart because we know God is in control and He loves us. We can bring our worries to Him and ask for peace. Sometimes He also uses people—like family—to help us feel safe.

Talk about it:

  • When do you find it hardest to feel peaceful?
  • What's one way you can "give your worries to God" this week?

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Activity

Peace moment: Sit quietly together for one minute. Breathe slowly. Then each person (who wants to) says one thing they want to ask Jesus for peace about. Pray a short prayer for each. Works with one adult or many—everyone can share at their level.

🙏 Pray Together

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for giving us Your peace. When we feel worried or upset, help us to remember You are with us and to ask You for peace. Amen.
