Courage
Being brave doesn't mean we're not scared. It means we trust God and do the right thing anyway!
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
โ Joshua 1:9

Sometimes we feel scared. That's okay! God is with us. When we ask Him for help, He helps us be brave. Brave can mean trying something new or saying sorry or standing up for a friend.
Talk about it:
- What makes you feel a little scared? (dark, new school, etc.)
- Who can we ask to help us when we're scared? (God, Mom, Dad, etc.)
๐ For Ages 7โ9
David was brave when he faced Goliath because he knew God was with him. Courage isn't about never being afraidโit's about doing what's right even when we're afraid. God promises to be with us wherever we go.
Talk about it:
- Can you think of a time when you had to be brave? What did you do?
- What's one thing you're nervous about that we can pray about together?
๐ For Ages 10โ12
Courage can mean facing a fear, standing up for someone, or doing the right thing when others don't. God doesn't promise that life will be easy, but He promises to be with us. That makes it possible to be brave.
Talk about it:
- When is it hardest for you to be braveโwith friends, at school, or at home?
- How can remembering "God is with me" change the way we face something scary?
