Thankfulness
God gives us so much. When we say thank you—to Him and to others—our hearts get happier!
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
— 1 Thessalonians 5:18

📖 For Ages 4–6
God made the sun, the trees, and you! He gives us food, a home, and people who love us. When we say "thank You, God," we remember that good things come from Him.
Talk about it:
- What is one thing you are glad God made?
- Who is one person you want to say thank you to today?
📖 For Ages 7–9
The Bible says to give thanks in all circumstances—not only when things are easy. That doesn't mean bad things are good; it means we can still look for something to thank God for, like His love or someone who helped us.
Talk about it:
- What is something good from this week that you're thankful for?
- Can you think of a time when something was hard but you still found something to be thankful for?
📖 For Ages 10–12
Thankfulness is a choice. We don't ignore problems, but we choose to notice what's good—God's love, forgiveness, people who care, and even small blessings. That helps our attitude and honors God.
Talk about it:
- How can being thankful change the way we feel when things go wrong?
- What's one way you can show thankfulness to someone at school or home this week?
👨👩👧👦 Family Activity
Thank-you list: Together, name three things you're thankful for today (people, places, or things). Write or draw them if you like. If you have kids of different ages, let each child share at their level—one word, one sentence, or a short story.
🙏 Pray Together
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for loving us and giving us so much. Help us to say thank you to You and to the people around us. Amen.
